Yes, if the drug comes in a self-administered form and it is appropriate for the patient, we can provide comprehensive training, including hands-on teaching for patients and their loved ones, as well as ongoing support.
Our registered nurses and nurse practitioners follow established protocols, including pre-medication administration, vigilant monitoring of vital signs throughout the infusion, and immediate intervention with emergency medications as prescribed. Our staff is highly trained in managing infusion-related reactions, including slowing or stopping the infusion, administering rescue medications, and notifying your office immediately. We have stringent anaphylaxis protocols in place, staff trained in advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), and post-infusion observation periods as required by the drug's prescribing information.
