FAQs

You’re not alone in navigating IVIG and SCIG therapy. These are questions we hear often from patients, loved ones, and providers looking for reliable, compassionate care.

IVIG stands for Intravenous Immunoglobulin. It's a blood product that contains antibodies (immunoglobulins) that help your immune system fight off infections and diseases. It's prescribed for various conditions where your body isn't producing enough antibodies, or where your immune system is attacking your own body.

IVIG treats a wide range of conditions, including primary immunodeficiencies (like CVID, XLA), certain neurological disorders (like CIDP, MG, MS), some autoimmune diseases, and chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP).

Most patients receive intravenous infusions (IVIG) at home or in a local infusion center. In some cases, subcutaneous infusions (SCIG) may be an option.

That depends on the condition. Our team stays in contact with the provider to monitor progress and adjust the care plan as needed.
